We rely on good commitment for the choir to sound great. But we understand that sometimes illness and life gets in the way. If you can’t make a session, all of the vocal parts are available on YouTube so you can learn at your leisure and brush up on parts.

Choir fees are not reimbursed if you miss a session.

When you attend your first session, one of our leaders or helpers will have a quick chat with you about your vocal ability and experience, and sit you where you feel most comfortable. We arrange our songs into 3 part harmonies (Soprano, Alto and Tenor). All of our choir members are free to move into any section they feel most comfortable singing in. Some singers move into different sections for various songs.

Our choir sessions take part during the school’s term time. We welcome new singers throughout the year. Costs will be calculated depending on when you join.

After your 3 taster sessions, each session is £8. You will be asked to pay termly or via direct debit over the course of the choir year. Each term is a different length.

We have lots of confident choir members who love to sing a solo. We aim to do 3 solos a year, giving different people opportunities each year. If you want to sing a solo, great — we can help you find a suitable song and help to boost your confidence. There is no pressure to sing a solo.

No. No member is pressured into doing anything they don’t want to. Singing on stage is not for everyone. However, the gigs are really good fun and quite informal. You can keep your lyrics on stage and a drink.

Sessions take place in line with Cornwall school’s term time.
