Why Join Us?

Joining North Coast Choir is easy. Simply choose the session that works best for you, book your *taster/three-week trial* and come along.

Each session is a chance to learn new songs, sing together, and enjoy making music with others. You don’t need to prepare anything beforehand, just arrive ready to join in.

Our choirs meet on Monday evening at Crantock Village Hall, near Newquay, Tuesdays at Threemilestone, near Truro in the mornings and Tuesdays at St Agnes in the evening.

Your first *taster/three weeks* are a great way to get to know the choir, experience a session and decide if it’s the right fit for you.

Your first session:

We know that walking into a new group can feel a little daunting. There’s no need to wonder where to stand or what to do, you’ll be welcomed with a smile, shown how the session works, provided with lyrics, guided to the section that suits your voice and introduced to the people you’ll be singing with.

What should I bring?

Just yourself and a bottle of water. Our sessions are 1.5hr

FAQS

Do I need to read music? Not at all. We teach everything by ear, and learning tracks are available to help you practice at home.

Do I need to audition? No auditions, everyone is welcome.

Can I join at any time?
Our choir sessions take part during the school’s term time. We welcome new singers throughout the year. Costs will be calculated depending on when you join.

Do I have to join in the performances?
No. No member is pressured into doing anything they don’t want to. Singing on stage is not for everyone. However, the gigs are really good fun and quite informal. You can keep your lyrics on stage and a drink.

Choir Fees

We keep things simple by running on a termly membership, with terms broadly following the school calendar.

• Three-week trial: £15
• Term membership 2026/27 : £96 per term
  • Term 1 – 14 weeks £112
  • Term 2 – 11 weeks £88
  • Term 3 – 14 weeks £112

For new starters, your termly payments will be calculated from the end of your 3 taster sessions.

What’s Included?

Your membership is an all-access pass to the North Coast Choir experience:

• Weekly Rehearsals: Expert-led sessions at any of our three locations: Crantock, St Agnes, or Truro.
• Learning Tracks: Access to our members area where you can listen to the songs broken down by vocal part and practice at home whenever it suits you.
• Performance Opportunities: The chance to sing at community gigs and seasonal concerts.
• Social Events: Invitations to summer socials, and Christmas parties where you can get to know your fellow choir members away from rehearsals.
